Also familiar with the logistics of a big move to the Sunny Central Coast, I was so fortunate to shoot Emma Thomson in her stunning Matcham property for Coast Magazine.

The summer 2019/2020 issue is jam packed with beautiful scenery, places to visit, and adventures to embark on but none of the articles grab me like that of Emma.

Chasing her dream of living on horse-friendly acreage brought Emma from Byron, combined with the need for locality of schools and the ocean, Matcham delivered everything on the checklist.

Shooting on this beautifully renovated, homestead/cottage style 1.6-hectare property was something of a dream and as a photographer that specializes in equestrian shoots (owning a horse and a pony myself), it could not have gotten any better.

Delicious sunlight splayed across the contrasting crisp white and warm, rich timber interiors, and lush greenery framed the inviting wrap around deck. Amazing right? Well then, we got to the dam! Seeing and shooting the kids play in a natural wonderland (riding horses included of course) took this lifestyle photoshoot to another level.

Emma talks of the community across the Central Coast in the article, and with the help of the magical photo’s I captured for their family and the magazine – you can see that that sense of community starts right at home for this beautiful family.

This weekend proved the perfect time to hold our first Mini Xmas Photo Shoot.

With the sun shining, I spent Sunday afternoon with the johnson family snapping the love and festive cheer at the greatest Australian Christmas location, the beach!

Ashley and Tara were filled with so much character that capturing them in all their beauty was easy, I am in love with the sisterly bond you can feel between the two of them. Their excitement for Christmas shines through in their beaming smiles and happy eyes. Both are excited for Santa to arrive and to spend the day eating yummy food, playing with their new toys and sharing the love with their family.

During the shoot, we also move away from the festive setting so that we can create an everyday photo or two for you as well. The johnson family loved running along the shoreline together. And look at that sunshine! What a beautiful Central Coast afternoon.

Our Christmas Mini Photoshoot package comes in at $99 and includes an 8x12 matted print and 5 x social media images to suit. Too good to be true? We promise you it’s not! The only questions left really are when and where.

Weekend sessions are available at Central Coast locations throughout November with 5 x spots on each of the following dates:

1st and 2nd November 8th & 9th November 15th & 16th November

Book now to secure your spot as the silly season begins to kick in.

What started as a personal passion after a move to the beautiful sunny Central Coast, has turned into an achievement I’ve been dreaming of since I first placed my camera around my neck.

Having not one, but THREE of my landscape images in the top 100 for Australia in the Australian Photography Awards is a dream come true!

The Australian Photography Awards celebrates the Nation's photographers in a range of categories including Landscape, Portrait, Aerial, Travel, and many more. Entering the Landscape category pushed me to supply some of my most impactful shots to create movement within the viewer.

My first winner captures the beautiful serene shoreline of “putty Beach” and motivates the viewer to imagine the warmth of the sun, the freshwater on their skin, the laughter of others on the beach and the soothing noise of waves crashing majestically to shore. I took this image with my mavric pro 2 drone, and it reminded me of a painting that has been done in water colours by an artist.

The next was captured with Mavic pro 2 drone and is an aerial view of the shoreline of the tessellated pavement, except this one features waves crashing against rocks and a cliff face. The contrast of the deep green ocean, the white of the crashing waves and the rich brown of the rocks brings together two of Australia’s greatest land covers.

Last but certainly not least is my, now award-winning, shot of the great open road at lindis pass NZ. At the forefront, you’ve got golden hills as far as the eye can see, but from this view – you can see the snow-topped mountains in the near distance backed by a brilliant backdrop of bright blue skies and white, luminous clouds.

I’m so excited to share this incredible feat with some of Australia’s top photographers and will wear my badge (or at least my images will) with pride!
